IFS Therapy differs from traditional talk therapy. You are the expert on you, the IFS therapist functions as a guide and expert on the terrain, and you get to decide which paths we take. We often talk about 'trailheads' - a beginning of a path to get curious about. It is empowering, and you decide which emotional burdens you want to work with.
My intent is that feel understood and cared for. It will be safe (enough) but at times uncomfortable. You are in control, and I might also challenge you at times. We will do this together, cry, laugh, get angry and cheer in the end.
I will not rescue you.
For you are not powerless.
I will not fix you.
For you are not broken.
I will not heal you.
For I see you in your wholeness.
